{"id":135,"date":"2019-11-24T20:18:19","date_gmt":"2019-11-25T02:18:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tech.my-netsol.com\/?p=135"},"modified":"2019-11-24T20:18:19","modified_gmt":"2019-11-25T02:18:19","slug":"cisco-3850-upgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tech.my-netsol.com\/?p=135","title":{"rendered":"Cisco 3850 Upgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>These steps are from a high level view and cover the overall process.&nbsp; <em>Some steps are omitted.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download the IOS and place it on a thumb drive, or tftp etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">copy tftp:\/\/yourtftpsite\/cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.07.05.E.152-3.E5.bin flash:\n(this may take several minutes to complete)<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>When complete:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">software install file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.07.05.E.152-3.E5.bin\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>After reboot\/reload etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">software clean<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>After the switch is back up, if you have a stack type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">show switch<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>If there is a mismatch you can enable auto-upgrade. So all switches added get the later version and \u201cmatch\u201d the stack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">software auto-upgrade enable<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>You must reload the newly added switch \nonly; a full stack reload is not necessary.
